Parking, Arrival & First-Day Instructions
Parking, arrival, and reporting instructions are specific to the student's assigned clinical location.
Before the confirmed start date, students will receive applicable information regarding:
- Parking
- Reporting location
- First-day contact information
- Arrival instructions
Students should follow the instructions provided for their assigned location and should not report to the site before receiving final placement and start-date confirmation.
Henry Ford Health Badge
A Henry Ford Health-issued badge is required for the externship.
Students will be notified when their badge is available for pickup before their externship start date.
Badge pickup locations include:
- Detroit
- Wyandotte
- Macomb
- West Bloomfield
Students should follow the badge pickup instructions provided to them and ensure they have their Henry Ford Health badge before beginning their externship.
Badges MUST be returned to the nurse manager of their hosting clinic on their last day of externship.
Badge Photo Requirements
Students should submit an appropriate photo for their Henry Ford badge.
