We offer two types of clinical placements at our Aultman Woodlawn building – home health care and inpatient rehabilitation.
Home Health
Aultman Healthcare in Your Home is a Medicare Certified and The Joint Commission accredited home health agency that services 9 counties: Summit, Portage, Mahoning, Columbiana, Stark, Carroll, Tuscarawas, Holmes, and Wayne. We are an interdisciplinary team that offers Skilled Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Social Worker and aide services. Our therapy team’s focus is on promoting function in the home and identifying beneficial home modifications to enable aging in place. Our population is adults and geriatrics, with our most common diagnoses being neurological, orthopedic, and cardio/pulmonary. We have a physical therapist who specializes in vestibular therapy and additional physical therapists who specialize in manual therapy techniques.
Inpatient Rehab
Aultman Inpatient Rehabilitation is a 60 bed unit that is compromised of an interdisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists, Social Workers, Respiratory Therapy, and Skilled Nursing. We see adults with a variety of diagnoses, but we primarily work with people with stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, and orthopedics & trauma. We utilize advanced technology and safe patient handling equipment to optimize our patient outcomes.
We have two PT’s who are CSRS (Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist), two PT’s who are certified in dry needling, an OT who specializes in vision therapy, and a SLP who has a certification in Lingraphica AAC devices.
