Application Instructions

As a graduate student at Mount Carmel College of Nursing, you are required to submit a rotation application. This application must include the name of your clinical site, along with your preceptor's name and license information. Your coordinator will then review and approve the request, if appropriate.

Below, you'll find detailed instructions on how to submit rotation applications in ACEMAPP.

Step 1 - Check the directory
You may start by checking the ACEMAPP directory for your clinical site and preceptor. To do this, navigate to your student homepage, click the 'Directory' tab, then select 'Entities' and review the list. Next, click the same 'Directory' tab, then click 'Members' to view the list of preceptors. If your site and/or preceptor is not listed, that is ok, you may provide your school with this information in the application.

Step 2 - Search for your application
From your homepage, click the "Applications" tab in the upper left corner. In the "Applications" table, use the search box to find the appropriate application:

  • If you are going to a Mount Carmel Health clinical facility, then you will want to search for 'Mount Carmel Student Placement Application' and find the appropriate program for your rotation.
  • If you are going to another clinical facility, then you will need to submit your school application. You can search for 'Mount Carmel CON' and find the appropriate program for your rotation.

. Locate your application, then click the "Start" button in the Actions column.

Step 3 - Verify and begin application
Review the description, make sure it is the appropriate application, then click 'Apply'.

Step 4 - Indicate preceptor/clinical partner
If you were able to find your clinical partner, type the name as it appeared in ACEMAPP in the 'Partner Entity' box. If you do not find your clinical partner, select New Entity. If you were able to find your Preceptor, type their name in the 'Include another individual on a rotation' box. Once you start typing the name, the option to select them will appear. If your preceptor is not listed, you may leave this field blank. If you can not find your clinical facility, you can enter in 'New Entity'.

Step 5 - Indicate timeline and details
Enter your requested rotation start and end date. Indicate if you have confirmed this preceptor directly with them as well as the course this placement is for. Click 'Save'.

Step 6 - Complete additional information
Complete all of the application fields to the best of your ability. Complete all information and click 'Save'.

Step 7 - Await decision
Your school will review this request. If you can attend this placement, the application will be approved and a rotation will be created. You will be notified of this via an email from ACEMAPP. Be sure to upload all required documents into ACEMAPP for approval in the meantime.
