About Professional Practice Requirements:

Professional practice requirements are determined by the University of Portland School of Nursing and Health Innovation (UP SONHI), in accordance with Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN), the Oregon Health Authority (OHA), and StudentMax Consortium guidelines.

You must complete all requirements before participating in off-campus professional practice courses (NRS 306, NRS 308, NRS 406, NRS 408). Requirements must be completed during fall semester of your sophomore year (or your first fall term for transfer students) and maintained throughout the BSN program, including during academic breaks.

Additional requirements may need to be completed to attend clinical rotations at off-campus clinical sites. These requirements are determined by each clinical site and details will be sent to you by the CCE Team, after each clinical site assignment is confirmed.
