Observation is an opportunity for learning acquired by closely observing staff, allied health professionals, and other clinicians in their patient care duties. Observers will gain exposure to and learn about situations and working conditions within the healthcare field.
Per our policy, we are unable to provide direct, hands-on learning during an observation experience; this opportunity will involve participation in the form of observational-based learning only. To meet specific criteria for a class, we understand that students participating in an observation for educational purposes may be required to complete a certain number of observation hours in a set amount of time. The duration of the observation must be agreed upon by both parties (the observer and the Aultman team member) and cannot exceed your annual valid TB test. Interested individuals must submit an application and meet all requirements before observing with the Aultman team member. Program coordinators for high school groups must work with the Student Experiences Specialist to set up an experience.
