About: In 2019, Northeast Georgia Medical Center Lumpkin opened on the site of the old Chestatee Regional Hospital in Dahlonega, bringing the award-winning emergency care and inpatient hospital services of Northeast Georgia Health System to Lumpkin County while the system developed a replacement facility on 57 acres along Georgia 400, just south of Highway 60. The new facility opened in 2024 and expanded services to include surgery.
