Welcome!

Phoebe Work-Based Learning Process

Thank you for your interest in the Phoebe Work-Based Learning Program. We hope that you will gain valuable insight toward your future endeavors as you observe our healthcare staff in action.

Our program offers shadowing experiences within various areas throughout the Phoebe Putney Health System including Phoebe Albany and Phoebe Sumter locations.

Students may apply for Fall or Spring semester. If the student would like to continue to next semester, then they will need to re-apply for that semester.

Phoebe’s Work-Based Learning Program is an observation-only experience for students ages 16 and older. 18 years and older for those that want to shadow in the Operating Room. While this program does not allow for hands-on patient care, it does provide students with an excellent opportunity to learn about a specific occupation in the health care setting.
