Available Rotation Types:

Graduate Student Rotation

A graduate student completing a clinical rotation or school course requirements. This includes medical students, pharmacy students, advanced practice professionals such as nurse practitioners, certified registered nurse anesthetists, and physician assistants. Rotations may include non-clinical areas such as information technology, healthcare administration, and education. Rotation lengths vary depending on the program of study. UVACH must have a student affiliation agreement between the school and UVACH or between the UVACH-affiliated medical practice and UVACH. A UVACH employee or affiliated practice member must agree to precept the student before beginning the rotation request process.

Nursing Student Clinical Rotation

An undergraduate nursing student completing a clinical rotation. UVACH must have a student affiliation agreement with the school. The school initiates clinical placements with UVACH Student Programs. Follow onboarding instructions provided by your school.

Allied Health Clinical Rotation (Non-Nursing)

Student rotations allow students to study healthcare professionals as they work in a healthcare environment under the supervision of an instructor or preceptor. The school initiates placements with the appropriate UVACH contact. Follow onboarding instructions provided by your school.

Observation Requests

Observation provides students the opportunity to see a healthcare career first-hand. No hands-on care is provided. A UVACH employee or affiliated team member must agree to precept students before the student applies. Observations are limited to 16 hours unless the rotation is completed through an agreement with a community high school. Minors must have permission from their legal guardian for observation experiences.

UVACH wishes you success in your current studies and future career!
