Note: NP and DNP programs require a valid NPI. If it is not provided, this may result in the rotation request being denied.
Note: Grady IT will email students their log in and password details five days before the rotation start date. Once this information is sent, students must log into EPIC within 45 days to avoid access inactivation.
Effective September 9, 2024, school placement coordinators must request their students access to EPIC, at the time the rotation is created, under Custom Fields "EPIC Access Type". Failure to do so may result in students experiencing a delay in gaining access timely. If no system access is needed, no action is required. An email notification has also been sent to all active affiliates.
May 14, 2025 - Modifications to the "EPIC Access Type" field once a rotation has been "approved", are not systemically sent to Grady IT. School Coordinator will need to contact Nursing Education to submit a ticket on student's behalf.
June 24, 2025 - Epic Access Type is now a mandatory field for Cohort and Precepted rotations as well as Clinical Faculty.
Note: The automation for retrieving requests for Clinical Faculty's Epic access is still in progress. Target date of completion is August 2025. Thus, manual requests will be made on behalf of the Clinical Faculty until completed. If Clinical Faculty has previously been granted access to Epic by Grady but has received an account expiration notice, please have Clinical Faculty contact the Grady IT help desk for access to be reset @ 404/616-1715. Access must not be expired.
