Tuberculosis Screening Updates:
-TB IGRA (blood screening) is required within 90 days prior to the start date. If the individual has consecutive rotations at Grady, they will not require the repeat TB IGRA when changing to a new rotation. -The TB screening questionnaire is an annual requirement.
-The chest x-ray is not a substitute for the TB IGRA. Parameters for a cxr are listed on the requirements document and ACEMAPP. Both the T-Spot or TB QuantiFERON are acceptable.
Health requirements are consistent for all to maximize the health and safety of all employees and patients. (Updated 5/19/2026)
PPD Tests do not meet Grady TB Immunization Requirements and will not be accepted and should not be approved by the school! Rotation subject to denial, if provided.
TB Symptom Screening form - Grady
This is now an annual requirement. The form must be current and will expire 12 months from the date completed on the form.
Hepatitis B Immunization Updates:
Grady requires completion of the 3-dose Hepatitis B vaccine series and a Hepatitis B titer to satisfy the Hepatitis B requirement. To begin a rotation, the student/clinical faculty must have completed at least the first and second doses. If the second dose was administered more than 30 days ago, the third dose is required before the rotation can begin. A Hepatitis B titer is required if the third dose was administered more than 120 days ago. If the third dose was administered within the past 120 days, the student/clinical faculty may begin the rotation and submit the titer after the required immunity-development period. (Added 6/5/26)

ATTENTION TO ALL GRADY STAFF ...If you only need of a copy of your immunization records, please contact Keshia Bowens at kbowens@gmh.edu. On that email, please make sure that you enter your Date of Birth and the correct spelling of your name. (Added 1/7/2025)
Grady Employees seeking exemption from Grady requirements must complete an application for clearance in ACEMAPP. If approved, you will only be excused from the following: Fit Testing, Grady Background Check, Grady Drug Screen, 12 Grady SCORMs, and Annual Influenza Vaccine. Please include your rotation ID on the application to avoid delayed clearance.
