Strong Recovery Strong Recovery is an outpatient treatment program for substance use and related mental health disorders, serving adolescents and adults (14 years old and up). Strong Recovery provides a wide range of treatment services including Family Services, Mental Health Therapy, Peer Support Services, Targeted Case Management, and Continuing Care Services. Our multidisciplinary team promotes individualized treatment, integrates Medication-Assisted treatment, evidenced based treatment approaches, facilitates a variety of group therapies, outreach services, embedded mental health and psychological testing.
Strong recovery will provide students with the opportunity to gain clinical experience and a greater understanding of psychological and behavioral aspects of addiction. Students will be partnered with an experienced licensed clinician who will provide guidance and support throughout their practicum and internship. During this time, students will gain experience in diagnostic interviewing for substance use disorders. Students will learn to apply person-centered and evidence-based treatment approaches when facilitating treatment planning, and individual and group counseling for patients with substance use and co-occurring disorders.
Westfall Practice Supervision under CASAC to learn substance use disorder treatment planning, diagnosis, group and individual counseling, admission, collaboration, crisis intervention, and case management in an outpatient setting. Supervision for mental health or social work hours may be available based on supervisor and staff availability.
