Background Check Process

The background check must be uploaded into ACEMAPP at least 4 weeks prior to the start of the clinical/fieldwork.

If in Ohio > 5 years: Ohio Fingerprints (BCII Check)

If in Ohio < 5 years: Ohio Fingerprints (BCII Check) and an FBI fingerprint check

Please note, UH requires fingerprint background checks

*If there is a discrepancy on the background check, a school representative should email the results to Students@UHhospitals.org for adjudication. Once the adjudication process has been completed, please upload the background checks to ACEMAPP and indicate in the comment section (within the student’s rotation request) that the student has been cleared for the clinical placement. **
