ACEMAPP allows tracking requirement items in one accessible location, including those requiring a waiver. This feature will enable you to waive specific requirements your organization does not need to be fulfilled for specific reasons.
NOTE: Not all requirements are automatically set up to Allow Waivers. Please contact ACEMAPP Support for questions regarding setting a requirement that does not have a waiver toggle listed or to see if any requirements are flagged to the Allow Waiver setting.
To waive a requirement set up with the waiver toggle, click the "Members" tab on your navigation bar.
Click the "Student" button under the Affiliation column or the "Student" button under the Rotation column based on your preferences.
Click the "Requirements" (book icon) button for the desired student under the Actions column.
Locate the requirement item you would like to waive.
Click the toggle to "Yes" to waive the requirement. In the text field under the Complete column, enter the date you are waiving the requirement.
Once the date text fields are entered and you have toggled the switch, leave any important notes regarding the waived item in the "Requirement Notes" section. Click the "Save" button.
NOTE: You must enter a Completion Date. It is only required to enter an Expiration Date if a text box is listed under the Expires column. If N/A is listed under this column, you do not need to enter an expiration date.
You can also view the toggle waiver by clicking the "Document Manager" button on your navigation bar. When going through uploaded documents, if the waiver toggle is set up for that specific requirement, you must enter the Completion Date and then set the waiver toggle to "Yes." Then select your decision at the bottom of "Approve" or "Deny."
NOTE: If you deny any documents, please leave a Deny Note as to the reason, so the student knows.
NOTE: Please be aware that waiving a requirement will show that requirement as cleared for other Schools and Clinical Sites.
