Reviewing rotation requests is a vital part of coordinating clinical rotations effectively. This guide will lead you through various methods to review and manage these requests efficiently.

Use the Quick Decide feature to manage your rotations requests

Step 1: Access the Rotations Tab

From your Home Page, click the "Rotations" tab.

Step 2: Click the "Quick Decide" Button

Under the Actions column, click "Quick Decide" (gavel icon) to make changes to the rotation status.

Step 3: Update Rotation Status

A pop-up menu will appear. Select the appropriate status from the drop-down menu, which includes:

  • Pending

  • Approved

  • Denied

  • Needs Info

Once you've selected the status, click "Submit" to save your changes.

If you do not wish to decide on the rotation at this time, click "Cancel" to return to the Rotations Table.

Use the Edit feature to review and manage rotation requests

Step 1: Access the Rotations Tab

From your Home Page, click the "Rotations" tab.

Step 2: Click the "Edit" Button

Under the Actions column, click the "Edit" (pencil icon) button.

Step 3: Review the Rotation Request Details

The Rotation Request Edit Form will display the details of the request. Review the details to consider if you can accommodate the request.

The Conflict Checker can be used to ensure there are no scheduling conflicts with other rotations.
Click "Check for Conflicts". This will display any conflicting rotation requests based on the following fields:

  • Unit
  • Start and End Dates
  • Shift Start and End Times
  • Days of the Week

Update the status of the rotation to "Pending," "Approved," "Denied," or "Needs Info" at the bottom of the form.

Once you have confirmed all details and selected the desired status, click "Save".
The school coordinator will be notified via email of your decision on the rotation request.

Step 4: Add Comments (Optional)

You have the option to comment on the rotation if additional information is needed or to provide any information you would like to share with the school coordinator(s).

Use the Bulk Decide option to manage rotation requests

Step 1: Access the Rotations Tab

From your Home Page, click the "Rotations" tab.

Step 2: Filter Rotations by Status

From the Rotation table, change the view to the appropriate rotation experience and status (Pending, Pre-pending, Approved, Denied, etc.). Typically, you will be managing the Pending rotations.

Step 3: Select Rotations

Search as needed to select the appropriate rotations. Select the rotation(s) by checking the checkbox on the left of the table in the same row as the rotation or select the top box to select all.

Step 4: Click "Bulk Decide"

Once you have selected the rotations, click the "Select" tab, and from the drop-down, click Bulk Decide.

Step 5: Update and Submit Bulk Decisions

The Bulk Decide screen allows you to view Rotation information (ID, Site, School, Program, Start & End Dates, Shift Times, and Type of rotation). You can change the Status and Unit in each row by clicking the drop-down.

Update each row as needed. Once finished, click "Submit" to save your changes.
