ACEMAPP offers an added layer of security by enabling Google 2-factor authentication. This feature requires a second step of verification when logging into your account, ensuring that only you can access it. Follow the steps below to enable this security measure and protect your account.

Step 1:

Using your mobile device, download and install the free Google Authenticator app, available for Android, iPhone, and iPad. The app is only available for a smartphone or tablet. To download the app, you can click one of the links below:

Step 2:

To enable Google 2-factor authentication in ACEMAPP, log in to ACEMAPP and click your name in the upper-right corner of your account and select "Profile" under the Personal section.

Step 3:

Before enabling two-factor authentication in ACEMAPP, you must complete the Security Questions tab of your profile. To complete your security questions, click the "Security Questions" tab, which will open a new window.

Select a "Security Question" to answer and enter your answer in the space provided. After making changes, please click the green "Save" button, then close out the window or click "Collaboration" to return to your profile.

Step 4:

Then, click the "Google 2Factor Auth" tab, which will open a new window.

In the new window, set the "Google Authenticator?" toggle to YES.

Step 5:

Open the Google Authenticator app on your mobile device and click the "+" plus icon at the bottom right of the screen. Then, select the "Scan a QR code" option (your mobile device’s camera will open within the app).

Next, complete the following steps:

  • Using the Google Authenticator app, scan the QR code shown in ACEMAPP.
  • After you scan the QR code, a 6-digit authentication code will appear in the app.
  • In the Activate Here field, enter the six-digit code from the app (without spaces).
  • Click "Save" and then "Yes" on the confirmations to finish.

NOTE: Please scan the QR code in ACEMAPP only once. If you have multiple codes in the app for ACEMAPP, swipe right on the unneeded codes to delete them. and then scan the QR code with your mobile device using the Google Authenticator App.

After saving, please close out the window or click "Collaboration" to return to your profile. After enabling Google 2-factor authentication on your ACEMAPP account, you will be prompted to enter the authentication code from the Google Authenticator app each time you log in.

FAQs

  • Will the Forgot Password feature disable my Google 2-factor authentication?
    • No. Resetting your password will NOT disable or reset your 2-factor authentication settings.
  • I have a new mobile device and no longer have access to my Google 2-factor authentication code or app. How can I log in to ACEMAPP?
    • Please contact ACEMAPP support.
