ACEMAPP offers an added layer of security by enabling Google 2-factor authentication. This feature requires a second step of verification when logging into your account, ensuring that only you can access it. Follow the steps below to enable this security measure and protect your account. Two-factor authentication is required for all admin users.

Step 1: Download and Install the Google Authenticator App

Using your mobile device, download and install the free Google Authenticator app, available for Android, iPhone, and iPad. The app is only available for smartphones or tablets. To download the app, click one of the following links:

Step 2: Access Your Profile in ACEMAPP

To enable Google 2-factor authentication in ACEMAPP, log in to your account. In the top-right corner of your page, click your name, then select "Profile" from the Personal section.

Step 3: Complete Security Questions

Before enabling 2-factor authentication, you must complete the Security Questions tab in your profile.

  • Click the "Security Questions" tab to open a new window.

  • Select a Security Question, then enter your answer in the space provided.

  • After completing your answers, click the green "Save" button.

Step 4: Enable Google 2-Factor Authentication

Click the "Google 2Factor Auth" tab in your profile. Set the "Google Authenticator?" toggle to YES.

Step 5: Set Up Google Authenticator on Your Mobile Device

  1. Open the Google Authenticator app on your mobile device.
  2. Tap the "+" (plus) icon at the bottom-right of the screen.
  3. Select the "Scan a QR code" option. Your mobile device’s camera will open within the app.

  1. Scan the QR code shown on the ACEMAPP page with your mobile device using the Google Authenticator app.

  2. After scanning, a 6-digit authentication code will appear in the app.

  3. In the "Activate Here" field in ACEMAPP, enter the six-digit code (without spaces).

  4. Click "Save" and confirm by clicking "Yes" in the subsequent prompts to finish.

NOTE: Please scan the QR code only once in ACEMAPP. If you have multiple codes in your Google Authenticator app for ACEMAPP, swipe right on the unneeded codes to delete them.

Step 6: Return to Your Profile

After saving, you can either close the window or click "Collaboration" to return to your profile.

Once Google 2-factor authentication is enabled on your ACEMAPP account, you will be prompted to enter the authentication code from the Google Authenticator app each time you log in.

NOTE: Authentication codes will only be available in the Google Authenticator app. Codes will not be sent via text message or email.

FAQs

Q: Will the Forgot Password feature disable my Google 2-factor authentication?
A: No. Resetting your password will NOT disable or reset your 2-factor authentication settings.
Q: I have a new mobile device and no longer have access to my Google 2-factor authentication code or app. How can I log in to ACEMAPP?
A: Please contact ACEMAPP support.
