This page will provide you with all of the steps that KSU requires. Each step will provide you with an ACEMAPP article that will walk you through each process. If you have questions about completing these steps in ACEMAPP, you may Contact ACEMAPP Support.
Once your school has created your account, you will receive an email to verify the email address associated with your ACEMAPP account. You must verify your email before logging in. You can click the "Resend Verification" button in the acemapp.org login section.
Email verification: acemapp.org/kb/415
After email verification, you will receive a welcome email from ACEMAPP, which provides a link to set your password. If you cannot locate your Welcome Email, go directly to ACEMAPP.org, click Login, enter your email (Students are added using student email accounts) , and select the "Forgot Password" option to set a password. After logging in, you must agree to the FERPA consent, the Honesty Pledge, and the Terms and Conditions. You will not be able to complete requirements until you have paid the invoice for your student and ASSURE account.
Complete all requirements for your school and/or clinical site(s). You must upload specific requirements into ACEMAPP even if you have already submitted them to your school.
This Step is for FNP Students ONLY:
To request a placement for your school, locate the appropriate application. If you are going to a Wellstar facility, there is a specific application for you. If you are going to a Northside, Atrium Health, Piedmont or Emory facility, there is a specific application for you. If you are requesting placement at a different facility, please complete the Request for Clinical Placement (Kennesaw State) application to request placement. While completing your rotation application, you can select your clinical site and preceptor of preference. If they are not listed, there is a placeholder for you:
Once your application is approved, you are NOT automatically cleared to attend your rotation. You will be assigned to a rotation in order to complete any required next steps for credentialing. The rotation request will be reviewed and moved to approved when credentialing has been completed.
Clinical encounters/case logs should be completed daily. You must indicate a preceptor on your case logs for your hours to be accurate. You will submit case logs specific to your precepted rotation ID number. If you cannot complete your case and/or time logs, please reach out to your school so they may assign you to a rotation. Your faculty will approve your case log.
Submit your time logs using the preceptor, encounter date, and precepted rotation ID number. These fields need to match what you entered for case logs. If your preceptor is not listed or you do not indicate which case logs to attach, your total hours will not be correct. Ensure all correlating case logs are listed before submitting your time log. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT SKILLS WITHIN YOUR TIME LOG. Your faculty and preceptor will approve your time logs. Please make sure you calculate and notate the breakdown of time by the population, and enter 'N/A' for any populations NOT associated with the submitted time.
You will be asked to complete multiple evaluations during your clinical experience. Evaluations include:
'KSU Self Evaluation for NP Students': complete self-evaluation at mid-term and final. Your faculty will review your feedback and provide comments.
'KSU - Student Evaluation of Preceptor and Site': provide feedback regarding the effectiveness of Nurse Practitioner (NP) clinical preceptors and sites
