Award a Preceptor Certificate

Preceptor certificates are a sign of recognition from the schools. Preceptor certificates correspond to the time logs submitted by students, which can be used to count towards the preceptor's recertification process. This guide will walk administrators through the process of downloading preceptor certificates.

Step 1: Access the Time Logs Table

To access your Time Logs table, click the "Time Logs" button from the main navigation bar on your homepage.

NOTE: If the "Time Logs" button is not visible, click the "More" drop-down menu at the right and select "Time Logs."

Step 2: Select the Time Log Type

Before accessing your Time Logs table, click the "List" icon under the Actions column next to the Time Log Type you want to pull preceptor certificates from.

Step 3: Access Certificates

At the top of your Time Logs table, click the "Certificates" button to generate certificates for your preceptors.

Step 4: Enter Data to Generate Certificates

To generate certificates, select the preceptor name from the drop-down menu and enter the clinical encounter start and end dates.

Once done, click the green "Generate" button.

Step 5: View Certificate

Based on the data you entered, a list of preceptors will be available for you to select from. If there is a lot of data in your Preceptor Certificates table, you can look up the preceptor's name using the search engine at the top right.

Once you find your preceptor, click the "View" (Eye) icon to view the certificate for the preceptor.

Step 6: Download Certificate

The selected preceptor's certificate will resemble the document below.

You can print or download a PDF to attach the certificate to an email.
