Faculty Time Log Review

Time Log Management (Faculty)

When students submit their Time Logs, you can review them. You can also pull a report and filter by your specific needs.


Time Log Requires Attention

Step 1:

From your Home Page, in the Notifications table, click the orange "You have one-time log(s) to review" button.

Alternatively, you can find the Time Logs ready to approve by clicking the "Time Logs" button in your navigation bar.

NOTE: If you are not able to find the "Time Logs" button, on your navigation bar, click "More", and then click "Time Logs" from the drop-down.

Step 2:

On the Manage Time Logs page, the Time Logs Table is filtered by " Requires Attention" and "Historical".

NOTE: You may have more than one Time Log Type depending on the Institution or connection to multiple locations. Click the "Time Log Type Link" to open the Time Logs Table.

Step 3:

If the Time Log requires approval, click the " Requires Attention" tab.

Step 4:

On the Manage screen, click the "Edit" (pencil icon) button in the Actions column.

Step 5:

Review the log on the Time Log Detail Page as needed. Select the appropriate status, Approved, Needs Info, or Denedl. Enter any notes in the "Faculty Notes" section, and accept any Skills the member listed.

NOTE: When selecting Needs Info, it is advised to include a note so the author can adjust the log before re-saving.

Step 6:

Before saving the log, review the Skills that the member has selected. To approve or edit the Skills determined by the student, while in the Edit Log page, in the Navigation table, select "Skills".

NOTE: You can remove skills, add skills, or change levels.

Once you reviewed everything, selected the appropriate status, and entered any notes, click "Save" to save the log and exit, "Save & Next" to save the log and move to the next log requiring Attention.

Time Log Reports

Step 1:

From your Home Page, click the "Time Logs" button in your navigation bar.

NOTE: If you are not able to find the "Time Logs" button, on your navigation bar, click "More", and then click "Time Logs" from the drop-down.

Step 2:

On the Manage Time Logs page, on the Time Logs Table, click the "Reports" button, and from the drop-down, click "Time Logs Report".

NOTE: You may have more than one Time Log Type depending on the Institution or connection to multiple locations. Click the "Time Log Type Link" to open the Time Logs Table.

Step 3:

Here, you will see details and a report of the Time Logs you have connected with (based on your rotations).

You can filter your results using the various filters:

  • Date Start
  • Date End
  • Course
  • Entity
  • Member
  • Skills
  • Rotations
  • Focus Areas
  • Preceptor

Click the green "Apply Filters" button when you are ready to generate your report.

NOTE: You can also export your results by clicking on the "Export" button.

Historical Logs

If you want to see further details of Logs already submitted or approved while on the Time Log table, click the "Historical" tab to change your view.

View Time Log

While viewing your Historical Logs, click the "View" (eye icon) button under the Actions column.

A rotation is a scheduled clinical experience.

An Entity is a School, Clinical Site, High School, Company, etc.
