Welcome New Junior Students content

Welcome

There are two platforms integrated together that you will need to pay close attention to: ASSURE & ACEMAPP

Congratulations and Welcome to our new incoming ADN Nursing students who will start the GTC-ADN program on August 18, 2025!

On behalf of the Gwinnett Technical College Nursing Science Division, we welcome you the ADN Nursing program. I am Jomi Praveen, the clinical instructor for the ADN program, and I am here to guide you through the program's clinical component. We are here for your success, and if you have any questions throughout the credentialing process, please feel free to ask.

Firstly, I will be introducing you to ACEMAPP. ACEMAPP is an electronic credentialing system used to clear you for clinical participation.

Note: If you have an previous active ACEMAPP account with another entity, please fill out this form: Existing Account ACEMAPP FORM Deadline: May 5th 2025

Action: Add your name to the electronic form above ASAP. Go to your old ACEMAPP account and update your email with your student GTC email. Do this via the profile page. After completing this form, and a success update, please email me to inform me that your account has been successfully updated. Also, please get in touch with ACEMAPP before emailing me to ensure this has been completed successfully.

Secondly, the clinical component is a vital part of the nursing curriculum. We will be utilizing the ASSURE platform within ACEMAPP for credentialing and managing your clinical requirements. ACEMAPP Assure is a professional document review service designed to streamline the credentialing process for students and faculty. Here’s how it works:

*Email Verification and Login**: You will receive an email to verify your email address and set your password. Once verified, you can log in to your ACEMAPP account. Profile Completion**: Your profile must be completed by May 10th 2025 and kept up-to-date to ensure compliance. This includes filling in all required fields and updating any necessary information.

Uploading Documents: ASSURE required documents to be completed before clinicals. You will need to upload and manage clinical required documents on your Assure member home page within the Requirements. You will be notified by ASSURE about the clinical requirements. The requirements to complete documents in ASSURE is June 10th 2025.

Compliance Check: Your compliance with Assure requirements will be displayed on your home page.

You will need to upload some other clinical site requirements like exemptions, TB sreenings, training modules (Not listed in ASSURE requirements) in ACEMAPP student site once you are assigned to your clinical site.

Each student must upload the required clinical Documentation on June 25th, 2025 in ACEMAPP.  Suppose the Credentialing Staff cannot clear you by the required clinical deadline due to your failure to comply with the submission/upload of the correct documents to the proper location. In that case, you will not successfully complete the clinical portion of the course. This delay in your action or no action will result in your withdrawing from the program.
