Welcome students and congratulations on your acceptance into the Nursing Program!!!
All your immunization and credentialing requirements will be posted in AceMapp. ACEMAPP is a third-party system that many hospitals require for clinical placements. There is a yearly fee that is currently $50 to maintain your ACEMAPP account. This is mandatory and clinical placements will be dropped and students will receive a failing grade if documents in ACEMAPP are not complete by the communicated deadlines. Summer admits have a deadline of May 5th and Fall admits have a deadline of August 5th.
As you progress through the Nursing program, you will need access to your documents. There are instructions on how to label your documents for easy access; how to save a PDF; and how to scan documents. You are further encouraged to note when your documents are set to expire. Documents cannot expire mid-semester and will be due before the semester begins. Due dates are 5.10; 8.10; and 1.3 – any documents that are required to be renewed will be due on the closest date as listed above. For example, if your documents are set to be renewed between May 10 and August 9th, your due date is May 10th. If your documents are set to be renewed between August 10th and December 10th, your deadline is August 10th. If your documents are set to be renewed December 11th- May 9th, your deadline is January 3rd. An exception to the rule is your flu shot which is due 10.1 of the current flu season.
To get started, take a moment to familiarize yourself with the document requirements by reading over the Information packet as attached. I encourage you to take advantage of any Information sessions that you are able to attend and to ask questions as needed. Information meetings will cover every piece of information you will need to know. Help sessions can also be scheduled one on one by Zoom appointments or in person appointments. Contact information is below for scheduling and a google sheet is attached for scheduling information sessions.
As a helpful tip, gather your immunizations from home. Take your immunization document and your Health form to your physician. Have a physical and any shots administered that are due. You will need to have your titer drawn in Hep B and may need to have your third shot to complete the series. Once these results have been returned to you, you can upload your positive titer and your Hep B shots.
You will receive an invitation about 60 days before your deadline to purchase your background check and drug screen through Advantage Student. Once complete, you will need to upload the 3 page PDF report into your ACEMAPP account. The drug screen and background check is a yearly requirement per many of our clinical locations.
