CLINICAL PLACEMENTS

• Clinical facilities are increasingly adding credentialing fees in order to allow students to complete clinical in their facilities. These fees vary from institution to institution and can be one- time or annual fees. The fees generally range from $50-100. If you are placed at a clinical facility that requires a credentialing fee, the fee must be paid by the stated deadline prior to attending clinical.

• Due to the limited number of specialty clinical sites, students may be asked to complete specialty clinical hours at facilities outside of our “local” facilities. Local facilities include sites in Auburn/Opelika, Montgomery, Columbus, Ga, and other surrounding areas. Specialty clinical hours may be completed in areas such as Birmingham, Mobile, or Atlanta, GA. We typically ask for volunteers to go to these sites, but if we do not have an adequate number of volunteers, students must be assigned to those locations since our clinical placements are limited. Students are responsible for all costs associated with traveling to clinical sites including, but not limited to, gas, hotel accommodations, and meals.
